Decision support for breast cancer chemotherapy prescribing

A demonstrator system designed to recommend, on the basis of clinical data, a personalised and evidence-based chemotherapy treatment plan for women with breast cancer.

 

Technology

The system integrates an OWL ontology to model and reason with the domain-specific concepts with a PROforma guideline to manage the clinical workflow and provide argumentation-based decision support. This is the first OWL-driven guideline prototype system to be developed in PROforma.
